CORINE BOND

Corine Bond, WORKING NOT WORKING X WHERE ARE THE BLACK DESIGNERS

GRAPHIC DESIGNER, ILLUSTRATOR

“There's a Haitian painter who's name I can never remember, who's art seem to always be in Haitian households. He always paints very detailed portraits of women and children in dark pastel palette. These portraits however seem to always be some sort of floating head with translucent vails of colours passing over their faces. This piece is my first attempt at trying to recreate that feeling digitally, however with a bright colour palette. I've always worked with hints of colour and rarely do full colour illustrations. The person I chose to illustrate however is one of the most colourful people I know, there was no escaping bright colours.”
