“‘Rise’ was born in the heat of summer 2020. From the need to express my hurt, anger and solidarity with those affected by the killings, political unrest and deep rooted racism that was brought to the forefront of our global society. She is a meditation on anger, strength and the element of fire; not to be feared but embraced, honoured, synthesized; used as the tool it has always been. From golden soil we rise, rooted growing flourishing, we will rise, our light and fire shall lead the way. We will Rise.”

“As a person of mixed heritage I try to use my work as an Artist to represent and uplift the many people of colour that inspire uplift and support me. I am Black&White I am Green, I am Purple. Like the colours of my palette I am a proud mixture of races, cultures and histories. Living proof that despite our differences we can all come together with love and beauty.”
