“Growing up, I got scared by the sounds I would hear at night. This has bled into my adult life. Lately, I've been really paranoid about the world. The feeling that gives me grace in these rough times is my belief that I will always be connected to a greater community no matter how alone I feel. This is what I try to express in my animation.”

“For most of my life, others have judged me as not black enough, not cool enough, or not confident enough. But sometimes I'm reminded that there will always be people that aren't satisfied by who I am. So going forward, I want to be unbothered by other's judgements about me.”
