Disrupt Poverty
We pass by panhandlers every day. Those who need shelter, food, medicine our basic human needs. Why do most choose to ignore rather than help? ChipIn is the first non-currency charity that gives those in need access to charitable donations through ChipIn's corporate partnerships. Simultaneously, this removes the regret or guilt a donor may often feel when ignoring or giving away money.
End Reluctance
The reason is we can't hold those who panhandle accountable for what they do with the currency they receive. Assuming most are victims of substance abuse, the average citizen is likely to think the money they give will go to exactly that. By ignoring one problem, we ignore the other hidden problem humans require — the desire to donate places those who want to be charitable in a tight spot.
Create Harmony
If the ChipIn citizen needs food and shelter, for example, the amount required is displayed on the ChipIn citizen page. Here, the donor has the opportunity to either pay the entire bill, contribute a small amount or establish recurring donations based weekly or monthly. When a citizen financial goal has been successfully funded by the charitable, the last donor will alert the ChipIn citizen to visit the participating store to receive a voucher or next steps to get their donation.”
