“My cousin has only recently begun drawing, and is getting better with each day. When she showed me some rudimentary sketches of an emerging character of hers, I offered to take it to the next level. I was more than happy to get my hands on a black woman superhero character, and create my own contribution to black power in a literal sense. Black fantasy entertainment is something close to my heart, and this cute cartoony yet sentimental piece is a part of my drive to create more black-centred art for me, my family, and one day, the world.”
